Nadia Sims

Nadia Sims is a poet and spoken word artist. While she’s been writing for most of her life, she only began performing in 2020 gaining confidence in open mics. She quickly focused on spreading her message of grace and self-forgiveness across CT, NY, and MA. The Princeton graduate is the proud author of “A Soft Place to Land” and “We Know the Dark”. She released a spoken word album in Feb 2023. In March 2024, she was appointed the Poet Laureate for the Town of Manchester. Major influences in her poetry are James Baldwin, June Jordan, and Maya Angelou and her life is profoundly shaped and influenced by the guidance of her mother. Currently, Nadia is focused on writing her third book and bringing more open mics and poetic events to Manchester.
