GUIDELINES

HOW HARTFORD’S GOT TALENT WORKS

Hartford’s Got Talent is open to participants of all ages. Any interested participants under 18 must have a written consent form from a parent or guardian.

Talents may include, but are not limited to: 

Singing (NO lip syncing)
Dancing 
Instrumental music 
Skits 
Magic 
Comedy 
Martial arts 
Juggling

Everyone must return a completed and signed HGT Showcase Participation Form.
Participants who are part of a group act should submit their Participation Forms together.

Recommended act length is 3 minutes; acts must be no more than 5 minutes

In all cases, decisions of the judges are final and will not be open to discussion

 Profanity or insensitive subject matter will not be permitted.

Costumes must be appropriate for all age groups and HGT staff will make final decisions. Example of what makes a costume inappropriate would be: private body parts exposed, negative words or images on clothing, etc.

All performances will be screened for appropriateness by the HGT Committee.

AUDITIONS

In addition to filling out a registration form, all contestants will choose one of the following locations where they will perform
an in-person audition. You must be a member of the location you chose to audition at.

Boys & Girls Club of Greater Hartford 
Charter Oak Cultural Center
Wilson-Gray YMCA
